La Aurora Zoo: Located in the heart of Guatemala City, one of the largest gardens in the city. With 287 species and over 2,500 animals, the zoo is divided into different areas by continent, including Africa, Asia, America, and Oceania. The zoo has a rich infrastructure with a large collection of flora, fauna, and recreational areas. Its mission is to care for, improve the quality of life, and conserve species. Through its efforts, La Aurora Zoo is considered the best zoo in Guatemala and Central America, and one of the top 15 zoos in the Americas.
Please note that the zoo is closed on Mondays.
